mais - more, further
mas - but, however

Mas - Mais
There is no difference:
Eu gosto mais de você.
Eu quero comer sorvete, mas estou de dieta.
Oh, and the word 'pero' doesn't exist in Portuguese, that's Spanish 🙋♂️
